Kelly's Personal Inquiry

Kelly has worked really hard on her Personal Inquiry about Milk. It was really interesting, and we all learnt lots of new facts. She explained the differences between cows' milk and sheep's milk, brought some sheep's milk to show us, and showed us photos of her milking a sheep. Kelly said that she preferred the taste of sheep's milk to cow's milk because it was a bit sweeter. We learnt that sheep's milk has twice as much protein in it compared to cow's milk. We thought about why people decided to milk cows rather than sheep, and we compared the sizes of the animals. Cows are much bigger and make much more milk, so that is why farmers in New Zealand usually just milk cows.
