Bean seed progress

"Look, the cotyledons have come off now, and the real leaves have come," Kendall pointed out to the class. There was great interest as both Kendall and Henry held up the jar with the bean seed in the cottonwool, and everyone noticed the continued progress.
"Let's look at the other bean seeds in the potting mix, dirt, sand, and leaves. What changes are there?"
LC1 all agreed that the potting mix was the best to start the bean seed in as it germinated the fastest in that. The bean seed in the dirt and the sand has just started to split but it is too hard to see that in the photo. There are no changes in the seed sitting on top of the dirt, or in the rocks, or in the leaves.
We decided that we will do our other seed planting experiments using potting mix.
