One day, a group in our class - Troy, Tristan, Amelie, Emma, Chloe, and Kelly were reading a play to the class. It was called Fish for Dinner. We love to read to people, and we enjoyed practising our learning intentions for reading to an audience. They were: to use expression, keep our books down, speak at a suitable pace, speak clearly and loudly enough for people to hear, and to make sure we were always ready to read our parts. The class gave us feedback. They said we spoke clearly, used expression, kept our books down, spoke at a good pace, and were ready for our parts. They noticed that Amelie had also started to use some actions. The class said the only feed forward for next time was maybe for a few more people to do some actions, but they thought we were really good. We felt proud of ourselves.
Here are some photos of us reading our play. You can see we are really concentrating, and keeping the books away from our faces.
Amelie is starting to do actions for her part in the play. She has to count how many people there are who caught the fish and took their fish to the fish seller. We had fun, and our audience enjoyed the play.
