Autumn is a special time of the year, and we have had fun playing and tossing Autumn leaves into the air. We have been practising using our senses to describe them - smelling, touching, looking, and listening to the sound they make when we walk in them. Mrs Burgess brought big bags of Autumn leaves to school, and we chose some leaves to feel, smell, and describe. Last week most of our writing has been about Autumn leaves, and we are proud of our stories. Many stories have some descriptive words like adjectives, onomatapoeia, similes,and interesting verbs. We also enjoyed making some leaf rubbings with jovi crayons.
